Low Testosterone

Low testosterone is a tough thing to deal with. Clinically referred to as hypogonadism, low testosterone is a condition in which the body is no longer equipped to produce healthy levels of the sex hormone testosterone.

Also known as low t, hypogonadism can welcome a bevy of symptoms that can each wreak havoc on one’s quality of life. Some common symptoms of low t include hair loss, muscle loss, increased body fat, fatigue, erectile dysfunction and depression.

Of course, there is an answer for those suffering from the condition.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Testosterone Replacement Therapy, also known as TRT, is an easy procedure that allows for the artificial re-balancing of testosterone levels within the body. Through TRT, a patient suffering from hypogonadism can have all of their pesky low t symptoms alleviated.

TRT Taboo

There is seemingly a taboo on the use of TRT. While the procedure is perfectly safe and healthy for patients that are recommended the practice through a medical physician, some patients feel a need to hide the fact that they require the procedure.

Well, the truth is that the average man loses a total one percent of their testosterone levels every year after they reach their low to mid 30s. Consequently, re-balancing testosterone levels can be incredibly beneficial for many aging men.

Among them, 51-year-old UFC commentator, television host and stand-up comedian Joe Rogan once went into great detail about his use of testosterone replacement therapy. Speaking on his hit podcast Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC color-commentator revealed that he believes there is no shame in using TRT.

“There’s no shame in it. People are weird about like hiding that. These are chemical components in our body that we can manipulate. I’m not talking about taking massive amounts of it, because that’s dangerous. It’s not smart. It’s not good for you. It’s going to f**k you up. Like when guys go too deep with it, it’s going to f**k you up.

“But, that doesn’t mean that like low levels of it aren’t possibly helpful. Because, the alternative is that your body just stops working good. I mean, that’s the alternative. It’s like there’s a pride thing involved, like people don’t want to admit that they need it. It’s really weird.”
